Yes on Four!

Hello, I encourage everyone concerned about the May 1st 6-week ban on abortion to support the “Yes on 4” campaign.  It’s disheartening that, under Gov DeSantis and with the support of my opponent, we have had to gather over 1 million signatures for a petition and wait for approval from the FL Supreme Court to get an amendment to the constitution on our ballot. Even though the odds are against us, we need at least 60% support for this ballot initiative to restore reproductive freedom in Florida. I also want to highlight your local abortion fund, a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to providing access to safe and legal abortion care, regardless of financial circumstances. These funds operate on the principle that reproductive rights should not be limited by financial ability. Lastly, I will always be a staunch advocate for women’s right to make decisions about their bodies–in consultation with their physician or a trained specialist. If elected, I will work to ensure that this amendment is correctly enshrined into the FL Constitution and will advocate for reproductive rights, access to abortion pills, access to IVD, access to contraception, and the right to access IVF and make decisions about embryos. Let women decide what’s best for their bodies, minds, and futures.

The story of My Logo

As a trained brain doctor, I thought it would be interesting to incorporate the brain in my logo. With a nod to artificial intelligence, the brain is a symbol of intellect and innovation and represents the core of my work. Sylvain Dore for Florida Senate, District 9Both the left and right sides show a connection that symbolizes the importance of bridging different perspectives, whether on the political spectrum, or the educational spectrum, eg linking STEM with ARTS to optimize results.

The color “gold” is based on a simple translation of my last name, Doré, which means “golden.”

One final note, throughout my campaign, you will see various representations of my dog; he is a mixed-breed rescue named YOLO (which came from my nieces, who first told me the meaning of it: You Only Live Once). For me, the notion of YOLO is a constant reminder that we should do our best and assist others every day. I feel like his mix of various breeds makes him the healthiest, most resilient, and smartest dog I have ever had!
